SOR is an affordable Disaster Recovery solution for System i, iSeries and AS/400 systems.
Why pay more for a High Availability solution, if all you need is a Disaster Recovery solution?
LaserVault Backup is a PC-based disk to disk backup system for the System i, iSeries, and AS/400 from LaserVault LLC that offers fast backup speeds over TCP/IP with optional data encryption of your saved data. LaserVault Backup is a great companion product to SDR.
The host side code for LaserVault Backup is designed and developed by Midrange Resources, Inc. and licensed to LaserVault LLC.
Midrange Resources can provide you with used systems,
or components such as disk drives, memory, and feature cards
like LAN, WAN, and disk controllers. And, for a nominal fee,
Midrange Resources can arrange to install it for you at a
scheduled time that works best for you. Or, Midrange Resources
can provide free instructions to you on how to install the
component yourself. And, despite what some IBM Business
Partners may try to make you believe, installing the parts
yourself, or having a representative of Midrange Resources
install parts for you, will not void your IBM maintenance
agreement. Disk drives, PCI feature cards, and even memory are
designated CSU by IBM. CSU stands for “Customer Set
Up”, which means that you are responsible for installing
the item yourself, unless you are willing to pay IBM big $$ to
have your CE do it. Plus, Midrange Resources purchases
used equipment from some of the same sources that the IBM
Business Partners do, so there is no question as to whether the
system or component is eligible for maintenance.
